Activate the ticket before boarding the bus — the screen shows a QR code you can show to the driver or inspector if asked.
A single ticket is bought from the driver when boarding, while a cheaper two-ride ticket is sold at kiosks. The price depends on the fare zone you travel in.

A monthly entitlement replaces the former paper coupon and is written electronically onto the Torpedo city card. It is valid for an unlimited number of journeys in the zones written on the card and on all lines serving that area.
Validity. All types of monthly ticket are valid from the first to the last day of the current month.
Rijeka system or Opatija subsystem. You choose one of them when buying. Users of the Opatija subsystem have the letter “O” written on the card, which alongside the subsystem also allows use of part of the Rijeka system zones — depending on the entitlement purchased, but no further than the boundary of the first fare zone of the City of Rijeka.
Available to all employed people and other residents who are not entitled to another type of ticket.
Available to full-time primary school pupils.
For full-time secondary school pupils and for full-time and part-time university students who are not employed (declared at the sales point). Registered residence or stay in the area served by Autotrolej is required.
Available to recipients of old-age, survivor and disability pensions, and to unemployed people over 60.
Available to all unemployed people registered with the employment service of the City of Rijeka or the City of Opatija. A certificate or record card, stamped in the month of purchase, must be presented.
Issued on the basis of a decision, conclusion or certificate from the town or municipality, on social or income grounds. The subsidy can be up to 100%; the user pays the difference up to the full price of the monthly entitlement.
The price depends on the approved subsidy percentage.
Online, at rijekacitycard.hr, you can renew monthly entitlements in the employee, primary school, secondary school and university categories — without visiting a sales point.
The Rijeka City Card Torpedo is the card onto which a monthly, multi-month or annual travel entitlement is written. The card has no payment function.
The card is issued at the Jelačićev trg and Opatija sales points, where a travel entitlement can be written onto it straight away. You fill in the application for a public passenger transport entitlement and attach:
Valid for one year from the day the entitlement is written onto the card. For a daily traveller they work out cheaper than twelve monthly tickets, and for people over 65 the price depends on income.
For employees and other users without a special status.
For people over 65 with residence and permanent stay in Rijeka, Opatija, Bakar, Kastav and Kraljevica, and in the municipalities of Čavle, Jelenje, Klana, Viškovo, Kostrena, Matulji, Lovran and Mošćenička Draga. The price is set according to the income threshold.
Primary and secondary school pupils, university students and unemployed people are entitled to a 100% subsidy of the annual pass, based on a decision, certificate or conclusion issued by the city administration department for health and social care.
Monthly and other tickets can be bought in person at Autotrolej sales points and at partner network kiosks.

Open only around the turn of the month, on the days monthly entitlements are sold — not all month.
On days when it is open: Monday – Friday 8:15 – 15:30, Saturday 8:15 – 12:30.
At 101 kiosks (58 iNovine and 43 Tisak) across Rijeka and the suburban municipalities you can buy paper tickets and load monthly entitlements for the pupil, student, employee and pensioner categories.
Annual entitlements cannot be bought at a kiosk — only at Autotrolej sales points.
Buy and renew monthly tickets online, without going to a sales point — the ticket is loaded straight onto your Torpedo card.
